Heavy Duty Manual Tail Stock
A manual heavy duly tail stock in differential centre heights.
- The tailstock spindle is extended and retracted through the use of the hand wheel; the tailstock spindle (spindle quill) has 40 mm of travel
- The spindle of the tailstock is hardened and ground spindle at MT-3 taper; an oil nipple is provided at the top for periodic lubrication
- There is a spindle lock provided to lock the spindle; when the tooling comes in contact with the workpiece/fixture, apply only enough force on the hand wheel to hold the workpiece/fixture securely, and
- The force required on the hand wheel to accomplish this is similar to the force used in closing a hydraulic vice; live center can be set for easy revolving; hence these tail stocks are used in tool room purpose for inspection department and VMC machines, HMC milling machines, H-boring machines, and other conventional machines, etc.
