Hand held data down loader

San Telequip is a manufacturer of interface converters with an installed base of about 10,000 converters. Data Down Loader (DDL) is basically a hand held battery operated unit, used to download data from multiple loggers/serial devices, located remotely. The data is stored it in its memory. This data, at a convenient time, can be uploaded on a PC with help of our PC end Windows based utility. Number of records to be stored in the DDL is unlimited and is restricted only by the size of each record. It is a micro controller based device with 64 K memory and a RS232 communication port for uploading data from various field devices/loggers and downloading to PC. Protocols on the serial side can be customised as per users needs. It has a 8 character, 2 line LCD display and 3 (Three) PCB mounted tactile keys to be used for selecting and changing parameters and menu screens. Optionally, configuration of host device is also possible with DDL. It is powered by a 9 V DC battery with a power On/Off slide switch. DDL weighs about 200 gm and has a Phoenix BOPLA, ABS plastic, hand held enclosure. The dimensions are 120 (L) x 68 (W) x 20 (H) password protection, communication failure detection and DDL memory full message are some of its additional features.
