Graphalloy Case Rings

Advanced Materials & Tribology offers Graphalloy Case Rings. These are used for efficient and trouble-free performance of pumps. Graphalloy solves problems due to vibration and abrasives. Double case multistage horizontal pumps are used in coker applications. The pumps running at 4,000 to 6,000 RPM are used to generate high pressure to cut and remove coke residue from the coker. The water is recycled and contains small particles of coke. Graphalloy case rings with a diametrical clearance of .008" were installed replacing metal rings with a .020" clearance. Even with the abrasive pumpage, the reduced radial clearance of the Graphalloy case rings provided smoother running and longer life for the pump.
