Glass microfibre for filtration

Glass microfibre paper, a new concept in filtration, manufactured from 100% borosilicate glass microfibre, can be used at temperatures of 500 degree Celsius for eliminating organic particles that could alter the final analytic results. It is also suitable for use at low temperatures without loosing its properties. These filters do not have any binder in their composition. This range of products offers high quality and performances in depth filtration, with a high flow speed and a high loading and retention capacity for particles of less than 1 micron. Applications: biochemical ? retention of protein precipitates, cell harvesting and scintillation counting tests; clarification of buffer and reagent solutions for elimination of particles in samples or effluent for HPLC; air pollution monitoring and water pollution tests; and pre-filters for membrane cartridges.
