Fibre glass tubes, rods and sheets for electrical insulation applications are manufactured by Hi Tech Engineering Company. These items are made up of materials like epoxy resins and fibre glass cloth, yarn used for high voltage applications in power station, power transformers transmission and power generation. This will withstand electrical strength of 1 mm - 11 kV for 1 mm without breakdown. Insulation resistance 1000 mega ohms and comparative tracing 200 V/metre. Tensile strength is minimum cross wise 200 n/mm2, breaking strength 300 n/mm2, compressive strength minimum thickness 300 n/mm2, edge wise minimum 75 kg/m2 and shore strength minimum 100 n/mm?. Splitting resistance is 2.5 kA, thermal insulation 155?C. This can also be used for mechanical pressure areas like furnaces, injection mouldings, water treatment plant pipes, etc.
