Gear hobbing machine

Gear Hobbing Machine model V-300 from Hindustan Engineering Works, Amritsar, is designed for the production of precision spur, helical, worm gears, splines, sprockets, rachet wheels and any other form that can be hobbed. Its bed and column are of close grain casting and are well ribbed with V-type guideways. The shafts and gears are made of alloy steels. The indexing worm wheel is of high-grade bronze material. The machine is equipped with differential mechanism for cutting helical gears. Provision has been made to remove backlash between the indexing worm and worm gear and also between feed screw and the nut of the hob slide. Oil reservoirs are provided in the machine, which ensures thorough lubrication of gears and bearings. Diameter of worktable is 13". The maximum diameter of hob is 3.5" and maximum length of hob is 5". Diameter of work arbour/hob arbour is 1.25". The minimum and maximum feed of the hob slide are 0.010" and 0.1", respectively. The power of motor of main drive, rapid motor and coolant pumps are 2, 1, and 0.16 HP, respectively. This machine is available with hob speeds 60, 75, 90, 120, 150, and 180 in RPM.
