Flowtemp Appliances offers Tweldox Gas Manifold Systems. A gas manifold is basically designed for centralised storage of gas. This saves handling costs on cylinders at different points in plant. It also saves wear and tear of cylinders and valves fitted on it. An important side benefit is, it minimises hazards and gives ample opportunity for safety planning. Basically, such a system is thought of where large volume of gas is consumed but in processes calling for an uninterrupted supply, a gas manifold is a must. The system is offered for practically every gas in non-corrosive group; and also available in tailor-made designs for corrosive gases such as chlorine, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, etc. Most of the contemporary designs available are for a given number of cylinders and any change in number of cylinders in future calls for either scrapping the unit or summon a costly specialist to rebuild on the spot. Both ways it is equally expensive. The extendable feature is the heart to design in Tweldox manifold. By this, increase in number of cylinders to be connected in future could be done at the shop by ordering a few spares. All the components are standardised and can be dismantled or reassembled very quickly by an operator. This offers a side advantage of cleaning and over-hauling operations whenever necessary without calling for any extra skill. All the components are readily available. The contemporary design of a pigtail becomes useless when the nut or the spindle seat connected to the manifold and gas cylinders gets damaged. In Tweldox pigtails, one can replace only the spindle portion of the nut. Costly waste of pigtails is saved. The factor of pressure rating is one of the most sturdily built robust design when compared to other makes. These manifolds are grouped into two categories, viz., wall type and floor type. Wall type gets cylinders connected on one side of bank whereas floor type gets cylinders connected on both the sides. Then they are sub-grouped into single row system and duplex system. In the former system, the outlet regulator is connected between the two banks. Since each bank has a master valve, one of the banks can remain closed as a standby and when one bank is over, the other one can be switched on.
