Gamma monitor

Para Area Gamma monitor is a stand-alone equipment for measurement of zonal dose rate due to gamma radiation. It includes a halogen quenched Geiger Muller detector with HV supply and processing electronics. PAG I provides display of gamma radiation level in linear range of 100 mR/hr. It also provides audio and visual alarm indication whenever radiation level exceeds the preset values. PAG 1 is housed in a robust mechanical enclosure. It comprises of detector assembly, HV supply, amplifier/discriminator/count rate meter, count rate alarm and voltage to current converter. It finds application in health physics application for measuring gamma radiation exposure rates to personnel in working areas of radio isotope labs, reactors, power plants, medico L industries, etc.
