The plungers are made of high-grade steel, ground to a close tolerance and hard chrome plated for high wear resistance and good surface finish. The gland rings used in the plunger area are of a special design. Wiper rings prevent the entry of water and dirt particles into the hoist cylinder while raising, servicing and lowering.
