Flange spreaders

Setco manufactures Flange spreaders. The replacement of flange gaskets is a tiring work. Often the maintenance technician hammers a wedge into the space between 2 flanges. It can be very dangerous to do the gasket replacement of pipes transporting hazardous materials or in an area having highly inflammable materials. These Flanges are used in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, etc, for pipeline maintenance jobs like replacement of gaskets, etc. These are compact, lightweight units which are perfect for use on all standard "pipe and ring" type flanges. The spreaders have a built in wedge which slides between the flanges to be separated by the rotation of a load screw. Available in 4 models with capacity of up to 7 tonnes and minimum spread of 25 mm. Very handy during emergencies, the technician can easily carry the spreader tool box to site and replace the leaking/damaged gasket in a very short time. During plant shut down, a number of flange spreader sets may be deployed in the field. This helps in covering all the flanged joints in the short period of time provided to the maintenance department. Hydraulic flange spreaders are also available.
