Falling Film Recovery Systems

Blast Carboblocks offers a Falling Film Recovery System, BCAFFA Type. Chemical reactions releasing HCI gas are common in chemical process industry. Owing to high heat of solution of HCL gas, the absorption has to be with cooling. The use of packed bed scrubber and a cooler for obtaining 30% HCL, involves high pumping cost due to the limitation of permissible temperature rise per pass for effective absorption. Advantages: HCL solution concentration of 30% is achieved in a single pass; simultaneous cooling provides better absorption than conventional packed bed systems with external cooling; low utility requirement in terms of water and electricity; maximised absorption surface per litre of absorbent liquid in circuit; compact in space - floor wise and height wise; long service life; and zero effluent generation.
