Sri Ramamaruthi Vermiculite Mines offers Exfoliated Vermiculite and Horticultural Vermiculite which is used world wide as growing medium, it has excellent property of improving soil aeration while retaining moisture and nutrients necessary to feed seeds that foster plant growth. It is most commonly used in compost formulations, promotes faster root growth and gives quick anchorage to young roots. Since vermiculite is very light and easy to handle, it easily mixes with soil, peat, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Exfoliated vermiculite has become a mainstay as a component of soil less growing medium for both the commercial and home grower. It is the ideal growing medium for sky rise gardens. They are used in constructions, animal feed, agriculture and horticulture industries and for many other industrial purposes. They are used as soil conditioner, carrier for dry handling and slow release of agricultural chemicals, soil additive for plants, together with perlite for potted plants, growing medium for hydroponics, seed germination, houseplants, transplanting and potting mixes. They are also used as lightweight aggregate for plaster, proprietary concrete compounds, firestop mortar and cementitious spray fireproofing, additive to fireproof wallboard, component of the interior fill for firestop pillows and light-weight insulative concrete.
