Igus GmbH offers the smallest energy chain in the world, with its series 03/E 03, E2-micro. This micro energy chain allows silent running because of a 10 mm chain link pitch. It is suitable for applications where a minimum space needs to be equipped with a reliable energy supply. The smallest energy chain in the world offers solutions for special applications. Perfect applications are for example: measuring apparatus, electronic devices, automatic assembly machines, rolling gates, miniature cross tables, etc. The micro energy chain is available as closed chain link or with the "Easy chain"mechanism. The "Easy chain"principle saves money by reducing the installation time. The "Easy chain"principle means: easy to install because the cables can be inserted without tools. Simply press the cable into the springy tongues of the chain and the cables are inserted. This clearly reduces the required installation time and also simplifies the maintenance of the energy chain system. These are the advantages for the user which considerably lowers casts. Another plus point is the modular design of the micro energy chain. The chain elements can be assembled or detached in any desired lengths.
