Electro-static precipitator

Esab India Ltd along with AB Ph Nederman & Co, Sweden, has applied the concept of capture at source and brings a range of Electro-Static Precipitators (ESP). Available in mobile and fixed models, they can handle air volume from 1000 m3/hr to 8000 m3/hr. Larger particles are captured in the mechanical pre filter. The air then flows past ionising wire where small particles move onwards, a powerful electrostatic field pulls the charged particles towards the cells and they adhere to the collector plates. Double electrostatic cells offer a high level of purification. The fumes are captured directly at source. When the filters become saturated and can no longer operate at maximum efficiency, an indicator light and audible alarm are triggered. The cleaning procedure of washing with water and detergent should be initiated.
