Electro Magnetic Clutches

A G Engineers manufactures Electro Magnetic Clutches. It is available with and without slipring and bearing mounted, clutch brake combinations. The clutch unit consists of clutch magnet, armature with armature boss. The armature is provided with springs and gap adjustment screws or spring steel riveted armature, which gives zero backlash operation. Magnet portion is normally fixed on driving unit shaft and the armature is fixed on the shaft of driven unit. The electro magnetic clutch without slip ring has advantages such as spark-less operation, practically no maintenance, no fire hazards, and backlash free torque transmission. Electro magnetic clutch brake combinations, open type and completely encased units with shaft extensions for driving and driven sides; DC brake unit, non fail safe type (energised to apply) complete with brake magnet, armature with armature boss, pulley drive units, fully assembled pulley or sprocket drive clutch units are also manufactured. As clutch with pulley is mounted directly on same shaft it becomes compact and does not require shaft alignment.
