Avery Weigh-Tronix, Inc. introduces its new DUAL ROLLER SCALE, a large, low profile cargo scale that provides dual weighing platforms designed for efficient high-volume cargo weighing requirements. The Dual Roller Scale is the first of its type to offer the accuracy and reliability of the patented Weigh Bar® sensor technology. Two side-by-side 100-inch long by 65.5-inch wide roller platforms incorporate a total of eight 2,500 lb. Weigh Bar sensors, providing a total capacity of 20,000 lbs. (10,000 lbs. per platform)."The Dual Roller Scale marks a new level of speed, accuracy and durability for the high-volume cargo operations," said Tim Peterson, Product Manager. "By integrating a complete understructure and a non-skid walk way between the set of rollers, an operator can push containers through the weighing process without affecting the weight reading." Peterson also noted data from a 3-year study that put failure rates for the Weigh Bar at a mere 0.5% versus the 3%-5% failure rates of competitive load cells.
