Cold shrink joints and terminations use a series of pre-stretched tubes, which are factory expanded and assembled onto a removable spiral core. The core is removed after the tube is positioned for installation over inline connection or terminal lug allowing the tube to shrink and provide waterproof seal. For instance in termination, the stress control, anti-tracking tube and rain sheds are all integrated into one piece. Cold shrink components once installed over the cable configuration in respective position as per recommended installation systems, a constant radial pressure is exerted, ensuring superior electrical and mechanical performance in actual field conditions. Once the cold shrink products installed, creates a dynamic and electrical interface without sealants or adhesives. It resists UV radiation and ozone.
