Chrome Plating

Ronuk Industries manufactures a complete range of chemicals for: buffing and polishings, electroplating, phosphating, degreasing, pickling, printed circuit board plating, chemical polishes, and effluent treatment. To prevent corrosion of the substrate and to effect economy as well as to achieve decoration, (copper and nickel bright) and chrome is finally deposited. The properties of chrome permit a very minimum thickness of layer, which imparts hard durable tarnish resistant coat of a pleasing bluish cast. Hard chrome is preferred for special uses in engineering and other severe conditions due to its hardness, abrasion and wear resistant coats for piston rings, cylinder lined front, fork tubes, shockers, marine and aero engines, moulds, salvage, of printing rollers, etc. Some of the processes are: Chromica HC – imparts a smooth brilliant deposit on bright nickel and is simple to operate and maintain; can be plated on bright copper directly and is useful for bright and hard chrome; SRHS-Aureg-018 – a self regulating high speed decorative chrome salt which needs minimum maintenance and gives deposits in reasonably short time with extremely bluish colour pleasing brilliant finish; GP Aureg – mixed catalyst, high efficiency, can take heavy current, suitable for duplex nickel system and gives microporous deposits with anti-seize properties and also gives hardness; GP Aureg SA –decorative, high speed, mixed catalyst salts, bright deposits at a wide range of current densities and specially designed for piston rods and front forks; and Ronuchrome process – suitable for intricate parts as well as for gauges, tools, machine parts, etc., and especially designed for front fork plating and piston rods and cylinder liners.
