Festo Controls offers Checkbox Compact, a solution for all applications in which small work pieces are fed to assembly lines or automatic production machines. And Checkbox Compact does not take the easy way out. In contrast to other manufacturers’ products, Checkbox Compact not only compares images of a model work piece and a new work piece but also extracts features from these images. These are then weighted and compared in accordance with an automatically-selected algorithm. This method is not only faster but also more flexible and allows a higher detection hit rate. The device carries out contact less checking of work piece types and their position and quality, identifies defective or incorrectly-oriented work pieces and reliably separates these out. Available in two variants, Checkbox Compact ensures a trouble-free supply of work pieces. Even in applications with stringent requirements and where installation space is limited. Users who demand absolute dependability in the feed and final inspection of small work pieces choose Checkbox Compact. This is available not only as the “Classic” model, a basic unit with separate ejection of defective or incorrectly-oriented work pieces, but also as “PLC” variant.
