Cantilevered Arm for Automation of Torch Side Panels

The welding of dump truck side panels has been automated with a custom designed low-cost cantilevered arm. The arm is made from standard Gullco Kat products including 3 idler carriages and one Kat carriage running on deep section track spaced 3 feet apart. The carriage system carries a boom with a Gullco seam tracker and a MIG gun. This fully automated system increases production and adds quality to the welding requirement.
