Bridging Steps, Access Steps & Platforms

The new Zarges modular system for bridging steps, access steps and platforms conform to European Standard EN ISO 14122, the only standard for stationary use in industrial applications, and BGV D 36 and BGI 637. Standard versions: 600, 800 and 1000 mm tread widths; serrated aluminium tread surface; 45? or 60? standard inclination; platform can be extended in 225 mm increments; for stationary, mobile or travelling fitting; and compatible with current system profiles. Features: accurately adjusted heights at no extra cost; maximum stability and flexibility thanks to Zarges stile profile with up to eight multifunctional screw channels; compatible with current branded systems; corrosion and weather resistant aluminium alloy; modular design, so there can be tailor-made solutions for all applications; 40 mm diameter round tubular guard rails (1100 mm high); tube connections in cast aluminium alloy; new tread design for maximum non-slip behaviour and maximum stability provided by support brackets; total loading capacity 300 kg, 150 kg on treads ? other load bearing capacities on request; supplied in pre-assembled modules for rapid assembly on site; special dimensions and inclines on request; and all steps and access equipment are available in an anti-static version as an optional extra. Recommendation to EN ISO 14122: for safety reasons, steps with a 45? angle of incline should be given preference. Only if the site conditions make it necessary or the steps are only used rarely for maintenance work, may stepladders with a 60? incline be selected.
