Base Circle Discs

Cyclo Instruments offers Base Circle Discs. These are used for setting gear tooth profile testing equipment these discs are made of SAE52100 alloy steel, hardened ground and lapped. To retain the dimensions once achieved in lapping; these are subzero treated @ -80ºC. These Discs are produced up to 330 mm outside diameter; with ID/OD concentricity within 0.002 mm; face run out of the boss within 0.005 mm at 60 mm boss diameter; and individual bore closely tolerated to maintain ID/OD concentricity. ID of the disc runs with a precision slide fit with the male locator of the profile testing equipment; whereas OD is base circle diameter of the particular gear of which the tooth profile is to be measured. Every Disc is supplied with traceability certificate and is etched upon with all the data regarding the part number and basic dimensions.
