Aerostructures and Aerosystems

Aequs specialises in AeroStructures and AeroSystems, in terms of precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, forging, and special processing for the aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas industries. Customers include Airbus, UTAS, Eaton, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, and Bosch. The Aequs manufacturing facilities are located in Bengaluru, Belagavi, and Houston. The Belagavi facilities are located in Aequs SEZ, India's first precision engineering special economic zone. The integrated facility specialises in precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, special processing and forgings with approvals from OEMs and Tier 1 customers. The focus is mainly on AeroStructures and AeroSystems with a capacity of over 350,000 hours/year. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and follows robust quality processes and standard procedures adopted by major global aerospace companies. Aequs is a TS 16949 and EMS/OHSAS certified company with two manufacturing facilities. With its core capability in machining, the company plans to integrate supporting facilities such as forgings, castings and heat treatment to provide fully integrated solutions to customers globally. Aequs is currently working with global majors such as Bosch, Eaton, Danaher and few others and is setting up a platform for accelerated growth in the next few years. Its facilities for machining include: 3- and 4-axis milling; turning and turn-mill; grinding; and superfinishing. Raw materials: castings – GI; forgings – alloy steel; and special grade steels. Supporting facilities: plating/phosphating/laquering; ECM de-burring; ultrasonic cleaning; CMM/surface roughness/contour tracing measurements; and AutoCAD, SolidCAM, EdgeCAM, CATIA, UniGraphics, etc.
