Sonisat Machine Tool Accessories offers the Euco range of adjustable spacing collar, introduced in order to meet the industrial change to metric measurements. The calibrations on these new instruments may be read off as increments of 0.001" or 0.025 mm. This arrangement has been made practical due to the fact that in adjustment to a adjustable spacer on a machine arbor is rarely more than a few thousands of an inch and any cumulative error arising from the metric/inch relationship may, for all practical purposes be ignored. These adjustable spacers are provided with a screw thread of 1 mm pitch and the outer members carry an engrayed scale of 40 divisions (each division 0.025 mm or 0.001). When two or more milling cutters are assembled on an arbor, it is essential to maintain accurately the spacing dimension between cutters. These adjustable spacers and collars provide a means of quickly accurately assembling milling cutters in any desired combination and subsequent discrepancies can be instantly corrected, without dismantling or disturbing the setup.
