Galada Power and Telecommunication is a pioneer in aluminum alloy products manufacturing in India. With its own R&D unit, the company is pioneer of many new products: aluminum alloy sheets, aluminum alloy car wheels, aluminum alloy wire-rods, etc. In 1983, it pioneered the manufacture of all aluminum alloy conductors (AAAC) in India and popularised it as the energy saving conductor, now a preferred power conductor for transmission and distribution globally. Its manufacturing plant with its state-of-the-art equipment is approved by PGCIL, NTPC, NHPC, DVC and all state utilities. Technical strengths: fully integrated plant involving melting of aluminum, continuous casting, rolling, drawing, a variety of specialised heat treatments and stranding of conductors; highly qualified and experienced manpower skilled in engineering, process inspection and quality assurance; and a fully equipped lab for complete process control, certified by Bureau of Indian Standards. The company tands out as the leading solution provider for power transmission and distribution lines in the area of uprating/upgrading of existing lines, for laying new lines and for selection of conductors. Products: EC grade and aluminum alloy rods and wires for cable and conductor industry; overhead conductors like ? energy saving AAAC (high strength), AACSR (long spans/earth-wire); energy saving AAAC (high conductivity), ACAR; high temperature conductors; anti vibration conductors; conventional ACSR and AAC. For mechanical applications, thee are products like: speciality rods and wires for fasteners (nuts, bolts, screws, nails and rivets); pre-formed line products (PLP); wire mesh/insect screen/fencing; welding and brazing electrodes; zippers; and detonators.
