Torque Limiters

Marine Fabrics introduces spring loaded Torque Limiters. The torque limiter is a device to protect equipment from damages caused due to excess torque transmitted in a drive system. The torque limiter slips when the torque demand exceeds the preset value due to overload, shock load or jamming of drive. No resetting is required when the excessive torque has passed. This eliminates downtime of machines and prevents fouling of machine parts and wastage of end-product. It is possible to use the torque limiter with sprocket wheels or flanges or as a coupling. The torque limiters are made of graded castings, dry-friction linings and special spring surfaces made from high quality spring steel. The torque limiters are available in stock sizes from 10 mm to 65 mm bores. The applications are mainly in conveyors, textile and paper machinery, packaging and pharmaceutical machinery, dairy industry, printing machinery and, bottling plants.
