Kristna Engineering Works, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company, manufactures a wide range of Sugar Mill Rollers and other machinery parts and spares, in various grades of cast iron and cast steel castings. Theoretically a crusher roller demands properties like fairly high hardness with good machinability and high friction coefficient to grip the cane. These properties must not deteriorate as the roller wears out. Metallurgically these properties are contradictory in nature and hence in practice a balance is to be chosen for satisfactory performance of the roller. The company has developed a special composition, which will impart the exact characteristics to the shell with special open grain.

The range of sugar mill spares includes: cast iron mill roller shells; grooved trash plate; worm and worm wheel; mill trash plate; grooved trash plate; cast steel tailbar couplings; mill rollers ready for dispatch; gun metal liners; CS knife holder; CS sprocket wheels; mill roller bearing housing; and scraper plates.
