ROTARY UNIONS FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINES

Fourwents Engineering Company offers Rotary Unions For Continuous Casting Machines, Type FDU 5120. These are available in a vast range and sizes to suit various applications. Fourwents Type: FDU 5120, 5140 and 5140-20 are specially manufactured for continuous casting machines (CCM), for transmission of cooling water in and out of the rolls in caster segments of CCMs. FDU type 5120 is specifically designed to overcome the problems of wear in CCMs. These joints have two super hard seals. The bearing is composite, long enough to support the rotor for smooth rotation. Thrust washer is made of special composite bearing to withstand the thrust lock exerted. Type 5120 is available in both monoflow and duoflow versions. Operating data: maximum water pressure - 150 PSI, 10 bar; maximum temperature - 250ºF, +121ºC; and maximum speed - 100 RPM.
