Hot Runner System Control

Leo Electro Systems offers Hot runner system control. It enhances the life of expensive heaters and reduces the machine down time caused due to premature failure of heaters. The system comes in single or multi-channel with capacity ranging from 1 kW onwards. It comes in an elegantly fabricated powder coated panel with castor wheels and heavy-duty connector on the side for easy connection. The cartridge heaters used in the HRS being hygroscopic by nature absorbs moisture, which can create short circuit and destroy the heater when full supply voltage is applied initially. This is taken care by the system by applying a reduced voltage initially till such time the moisture is baked out and no dampness remains. Thereafter the phase angle fired thyristor circuit takes over the temperature control part. There is no On-Off cycle of heaters causing thermal shock and the controller ensures that just enough power is supplied to the heaters to maintain the set point. It also has provision for open loop control of heaters in the event of thermocouple failure.
