Full Bore Chuck

Full bore chuck Model FB6-20 is a 6-3/4" diameter self-contained collet chuck providing 2" bar capacity. Weighing only 35 lbs, the FB6-20 insures fast spin up-time and open and close times of less than 1/2 second. The FB6-20 increases the Full Bore chuck line to nine chucks designed to meet turning requirements for A2-5 through A2-11 spindle nose applications for stock up to 5-1/2" in diameter. The FB6-20 increases typical A2-5 spindle nose turning centre bar capacity from 1-5/8" to 2". Ths increase in capacity is accomplished by eliminating the conventional draw tube and actuator with the FB6-20"s self-contained design. In many cases, this new model will allow 2" bar operation with less expensive lathe equipment with a higher RPM spindle. The new chuck can also be applied to the sub-spindle on some lathes.
