Ball Slides

Holmarc Slides & Controls offers Ball Slides. These use a bearing system composed of two rows of balls on both sides of the base with precision ground rods as guiding elements. As the carriage moves, the balls roll along the rods. Ball slides provide smooth, accurate, low friction movements. These slides find wide range of applications in metrology, automation, instruments, and packing machines, SPMs etc. Features: constructed in aluminium alloy with black anodised finish; factory pre-load adjustment prevents side play and backlash; light weight aluminium carriage and base; steel shafts, ground over entire length, reduce co-efficient of friction; built-in holes simplify installation and component mounting; high accuracy and load capacity; and long life, self cleaning ball bearings need no lubrication. Specifications - co-efficient of friction: 0.002; straight-line accuracy: 0.01 mm/25 mm of travel; and positional repeatability: 0.005 mm.
