Mould Steel

M D Corporation offers Mould Steel from Doosan available in various grades. This is used for manufacturing high precision moulds. Grade HP4A(D1) is offered pre-hardened at hardness 28-32 HRC. This range is used in core and cavity applications and general purpose moulds for mass production. Grade HP4MA(D2) is available as pre-hardened at hardness 31-34 HRC. Applications are in higher harness mould, bumper mould, and general purpose mould for mass production. HP4MA(D2) high hard is offered preheated at hardness 35-39 HRC. This series has applications in moulds for highly abrasive plastic material and moulds requiring high level of polish. Doosan mould steel has better photo etching quality, weldability and machinability. The hardness is consistent across the cross section of the material.
