The Surveyor 1200's Rapid Profile laser sensor collects 2,000 points of data per second, making digitizing up to 1,000 times faster than conventional measuring technologies. The system fits conveniently in the same floor space as a coffee table and provides sensor accuracies of 1:5000, or 0.0003"over a measurement range of 1.6". Although a small machine, the Surveyor 1200 still boasts a full two cubic-foot work envelope along with three axes of computer-controlled scanning. The system package includes scan control software, factory training, and a full year's warranty on parts and labour, with extended warranty package offered each year thereafter. An optional rotary axis allows digitizing of all surfaces of the most complex 3D objects, including undercuts and vertical side walls. Top, isometric, and contour profile views display in realtime as the Surveyor 1200 collects data. The operator determines scan patterns and densities in only a few minutes of set-up time. DataSculpt software can handle extremely large data files and offers post-scan processing features including data filtering, smoothing, cross-sectioning, character line generation, analysis, NC machining, STL meshing for rapid prototyping, and many more.
