Excel Technology South-Asia provides a wide array of Laser Products ranging from components to complete industrial laser workstations with or without material handling systems for marking, engraving, deep engraving, nanosecond micromachining, and ultrafast micromachining. State-of-the-art pulsed and continuous wave Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF solid state laser systems are available as are amplified ultrafast Ti:Sapphire systems. All laser technologies, viz., flashlamp, arclamp or diode pumped laser systems, are available in order to insure that the optimal solution to each customer requirement is provided. Pulsed laser systems include nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond outputs. Output wavelengths range from the fundamental output in the infrared to second harmonic (green), third harmonic (UV), and fourth harmonic (DUV). Complete tunable laser systems employing either optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) or optical parametric amplifiers (OPAs) are designed to meet the need for tunable solid-state picosecond or femtosecond laser sources in the 189 nm to 20 µm range of the optical spectrum. All metal sealed CO2 laser systems are designed to meet the demand for a rugged, compact, and reliable industrial laser system with infrared laser powers ranging from 8 watts to 400 watts. These systems are used primarily for marking, engraving, scribing, cutting, and drilling of a wide variety of materials ranging from plastics and fabrics to metals. Excel today is comprised of nine manufacturing subsidiaries. The five Excel manufacturing companies that either design and build laser systems or integrate laser systems into laser-based material processing systems are all represented by Excel Technology South-Asia. Excel companies represented include Quantronix, Continuum, Synrad, Baublys-Control Laser and Control Systemation. User industries are aerospace, automotive, consumer product, medical device, jewellery, and diamond industries. Additional industrial market segments served are the electronic components, semiconductors (e.g., photomask repair, wafer processing, etc) and liquid crystal display (e.g., repair) manufacturing. Typical laser materials processing applications include marking, engraving, scribing, cutting, drilling, deep engraving and micromachining of virtually any material.
