Laser Beam for Industrial Cleaning

Quanta System Srl-ltaly introduces a simple, rugged, low cost, transportable Palladio laser system for industrial cleaning. Palladio is a compact ND:YAG laser specially designed for cleaning of artistic surfaces. It could operate in normal or in Q-switching mode, emitting either the fundamental radiation at 1064 nm or its second harmonic at 532 nm. With a few simple controls, the Palladio laser allows the user to check different possible interactions between the laser radiation and the materials, in order to define the best one. In such a way most of the laser cleaning procedures initially studied and applied on stones, could now successfully be extended to other materials. Recently QS has developed a new Q-switched ND:YAG laser named Laser Cleaner in two models with IP65 protection grade. All QS lasers conform to International Safety Standards. User advantages are: no solvents and no swabs; localised action; no abrasive tools; no direct contact; fast and automatic processes; low power consumption, and performance reproducibility. Applications include: fine art conservation; paint removal; building restoration; graffiti removal; mould cleaning; and selection material ablation.
