Compact laser sensors

Balluff India offers compact laser sensors, setting new standards in precision and handling ease with the new BOS 26K series. With their compact, 50 x 50 mm housing, this series adds a new concept in sensors to the opto line, with special specifications and features. The stars of this product family are undoubtedly the laser sensors. The common features of the laser sensors are: brilliant red light, extreme precision, extended range and very high switching frequency; and protection Class 2 (no special safety precautions necessary). Using its focused red sensing spot, the BOS 26K PA 1 LHB diffuse sensor with background suppression can precisely detect very small objects virtually regardless of color between 30 and 150 mm away. Other objects, even in the close background, are ignored by the sensor. The focusing function provides a spot only 0.1 mm in diameter at a distance of 80 mm. Features common to all the sensors in the BOS 26 series are: rotatable M12 connector; precise orientation with two revolutions (720?); clear digit display for the sensitivity and range setting; status LED"s visible 360?, contamination display; optimal design against contamination of the optical face; and make/break outputs. Applications: the BOS 26 series is particularly suited where above average demands are made on precision, ease of handling, long range, and small parts detection, for example in assembly and handling equipment, packaging, and conveying technology. Also included in this series are IR and red light diffuse sensors with background suppression, and an auto collimation retro reflective version with red light.
