Tungsten Halogen Light Source

The AvaLight-HAL is a stabilized, compact, fan-cooled, tungsten halogen light source with spectral output from 360-2500 nm. The light source can be set to one of three different settings for standard, long life or high power output. The Avalight HAL has a filter slot, which accepts 1" round or 2" x 2" square filters up to 3 mm thick. The lamp's +/- 0.1% stability is achieved by current stabilization. A fan regulates the airflow around the heat sink to optimize the operating temperature. The SMA connection to any fiber diameter up to 1000 um can be optimized by changing the focus. Bulb replacement is easy and replacement bulbs are very affordable relative to competitive products. The three power settings can be controlled with an internal jumper. At long life setting the source has over 2000 hrs of life time with a color temperature of 2700 K. Standard setting has a 2850 K color temperature and bulb life time is approximately 1000 hrs.
