Lighting System

Lumitex offers thin, lightweight panels that provide bright, uniform backlighting for machine vision systems. Made from woven optical fibres, light enters the panel through the fibres highly polished ends. Precisely controlled micro-bends cause the light to be emitted from the sides of the fibres through the cladding. The result is heat-free, shadowless light that is uniformly bright across the panel surface. The panels are pliable, allowing them to accommodate curves and bends in the production system. Cutouts for camera lenses or microscopes are possible.
