Havells India entered into the lighting business in the year 2003 with the aim to promote only those products that reduce green house gas (GHG) emissions. In other words, the company decided to launch only energy efficient products like CFLs/T5 lamps in Indian market. It offers a wide range of energy efficient lighting fixtures for industrial/commercial use. In commercial segment, the company offers mirror optics fixtures suitable for T5 lamps in many configuration like 2 x 14 W/3 x 14 W/4 x 14 W/2 x 24 W/2 x 28 W/2 x 54 W, etc. All these fixtures are wired with heavy-duty electronic ballast and can also be upgraded for dimming/occupancy sensor for optimum use of energy. Keeping in view fast growing population of IT sector these fixtures are designed conforming to CIBSE LG3 guidelines. However in case of industrial lighting complete range of fixture is on platter like battens/highbays/well glass, etc., for each and every application. Similarly in case of road lighting Havells introduced in India full specification IP66 fixtures with breathing port and staircase POT optics. While former ensures maintained ingress protection, the latter helps in achieving higher spacing between successive poles. For showroom/lobby lighting alternative to hot dichroic halogen lamp was introduced as Innova, which is a compact fluorescent lamp in the size of dichroic halogen lamp.
