LED BASED AVIATION OBSTRUCTION LAMPS

Supernova Electronics manufactures LED based aviation obstruction lamps. High-rise structures such as buildings, towers, windmills and chimney becomes hazardous obstacles for air traffic. To prevent the accidents and to navigate the aircraft pilots, national and international authorities related to civil aviation recommends the different types of lamps to be installed at the top of the structures, which are above 45 metres from ground level. Super bright light emitting diodes (LEDs) of highest luminous intensity output are utilised in these lamps to render long life service and also economical in comparison with earlier incandescent lamps. These lamps are also energy savers, robust and rugged for the outdoor utility and works in diverse climatic conditions. Besides, these are aesthetically better, light in weight and easy to install. The lamps are available in two models, Type "A" steady burning and Type "B" flashing. The control circuitry is also developed to operate these lamps automatically in AC/ DC mode as required. In the DC operated lamps, the battery backup facility can be added in the control circuitry.
