Energy Saving Lamp Controller

Microedge Electronics offers an energy saving lamp controller (ESLC). This is a solid-state device and is suitable for fluorescent and most types of lamps including incandescent, mercury vapour, quartz and metal halide. This device enables the user to adjust the level of savings up to about 20% without a proportionate reduction in the light output. ESLC controls the entire circuit of lighting from the lighting panel. It is a better alternative to switching off lamps on a selective basis to save energy. ESLC helps in even distribution of lighting. It is cost effective, simple and easy to install. Payback period will be very short. Facility is provided for automatic control of the lighting system level, based on ambient light, i.e., when the ambient light is high, the level of illumination provided by the lamps is reduced to obtain the best energy saving possibly and when the ambient light level is low, the output of the lamps is increased. The unit is suitable for use in offices, factories, for shop floor lights, streetlights, etc.
