Rubber Chemicals - Reclaiming Agents

During moulding of rubber products a certain quantity of excess compound flows out of the moulds known as mould flashes, these flashes, which are not in cured state, can be converted in to flakes from without grains by using S-Link 9. The rubber flashed from the moulds are put in kneader having working temperature of about 70 degree C. and the machine is run for about five minutes. Then 30gm of S-link per kg of flashes is added to the material in the kneader. The material is processed in the kneader for another five minutes. Thereafter the whole processed flashes are put on a tight mixing mill and passed twice or thrice through it. The material then becomes in the form of soft flakes without grains. This can be added to the fresh compound.
