Anti Tarnish Compounds

Prosol Chemicals offers Anti Tarnish Compound, ANTAR. It is applied on the surface of copper metal by any suitable means, and the metal is protected for up to 6 months in indoor storage. It works by forming a chemically passivating film on the surface of the metal. However, it does not form any visible film on the surface and also preserves the bright natural colour of the metal. It does not contain any chromate, sulphuric, nitric acid or other such hazardous materials, so it is very safe to handle, use or dispose off. It is available in a suitable medium (water/ solvent) so that it can be designed for any application to produce optimum results. It is used to prevent tarnishing of copper and copper alloys such as wires, bars, tubes, machined parts, stamping, forging, etc.
