It can be used for measuring practically all electroplated coatings both single and multi-layer using the coulometric principle (DIN50955 & USO 2177). The coulometric or anodic removal technique is suitable for the measurement of electroplated deposits on practically all substrates, i.e., on steel, non-ferrous metal and also on insulating materials such as nickel on steel, zinc on steel, tin on copper and copper on epoxy. With this technique a small area of the coating material is simply removed but no damage is done is caused to the substrate. The coulometric measurement principle ensures precise and exact result. The instrument is easy to use and strong and sturdy.
