Associated Swedish Steels AB (ASSAB), was formed in 1945 to market the high-quality steel for which Sweden is known. The company focuses on providing superior quality special materials such as: tool steel for blanking and forming of materials in cold condition; tool steel for die casting; tool steel for extrusion; tool steel for forging; tool steel for plastic moulding; materials for high performance engineering components; extrusion components like containers, liners, container relining, stem and dummy blocks; carbides; wear plates; tool bits; high speed steel; machinery steels; strip steel; and other quality steels. The Sripad company has entered into a joint venture with ASSAB, and is exclusively representing them in India, with offices in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The company has opened heat treatment centres in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.
