Synthetic Micro Graphite

Carbo Colloids offers Colgraph-WDL, an aqueous suspension of high purity Synthetic Micro Graphite developed for drawing of molybdenum and tungsten filament wires. Colgraph WDL can be modified with viscosity modifiers and other additives such as plasticisers by the end user to the specific requirements as per the equipments used and the diameter of the wires drawn. Colgraph WDL can be used over a wide range of wire diameters. Typical data: lubricant – micro fine graphite; solids – 21 ±1% by weight; carrier – water; diluent – water preferably DI or de-mineralised; specific gravity – 1.1 to 1.25; viscosity – 350 ±50 Cps; pH – 9 to 10; and shelf life –6 months in closed container. Methods of use: Colgraph WDL can be diluted before use. Dilution ratio to be determined depending on the requirements of the job. Add diluent to the concentrate and not vice versa. Water hardness will affect the performance of Colgraph WDL. Maintaining the pH of the diluted material to 9 to 10 to be ensured by addition of ammonia. Colgraph WDL is compatible for any method of/technique of application such as roller, dip or fountain. Ensure the container of the Colgraph supply system is made of stainless or FRP material. This is to prevent contamination and the consequent performance of the material.
