Stainless steel strips

Sandvik Steel, based in Sweden, offers austenitic stainless steel for springs in various grades and tensile strengths. These stainless steels have fatigue strength in corrosive environments. Relaxation properties and serviceability at high temperatures are the advantages these steel possess. The strips are usually supplied in the cold worked condition. The strength of the steel can be increased by a simple heat treatment (tempering). Spring material in the form of round and flat wire is available. Materials in carbon steel and martensitic stainless chromium steel are also supplied by the company. Austenitic steels of tensile strength 1000-2050 MPa are offered.
