Diamant Triumph offers Plasticmetal. It is used for cold welding. This plastic metal is available in different grades of ferrous and non-ferrous which is mainly thermoset material, which gets cured within 3-30 minutes with exothermic reactions at room temperature. The decisive factors are: free mix ratios; temperature resistance -40ºC to +350ºC; excellent metal character by pure metal fillers to 98%; special alloys for titanium, magnesium, stainless steels; special powders with minerals (Al2O3, SiO2, SiC); under water applications and applications on oily surfaces; reinforcements by, e.g., glass-, carbon, Kevla-r, Aramid- fibres; machinable like metal; drilling, milling, grinding, tapping possible; and special grades with 3 min curing time for emergency repair of oil and water leakage. Cold welding process outstrips the hot welding process because it is easier, less time consuming, as well as the areas where the hot welding creates more problem and chances of distortion of the component and chances of fire are more; non-expert can do cold welding process with perfect result without any special accessories.
