Oxygen Free Copper Rod

Lark Group manufactures oxygen free copper rods (OFC) in 8 and 12 mm dia, a first in India, with state-of-the-art European technology. The tolerances are between 7.92 to 8.08 mm for 8 mm, and 11.88 to 12.12 mm for 12 mm rods. These copper rods are oxygen free (less than 5 ppm). The copper rod is mainly used for drawing into electrical wires of smaller diameters. Standards/testing specifications conform to ASTM B49/B224/BS 6017. Packaging: the rod is supplied as continuous coils in weights up to 4 tonnes. The coils are weld free. The coil is wrapped with polyethylene sheeting and strapped to a wooden pallet for shipment. Properties and recommended applications: Lark copper rod is produced from high purity oxygen-free high conductivity (OFRC) copper using an upcast process. This wire is ideal for re-draw purposes in a wide range of applications such as cable making, enamelled magnet wire manufacture, bare copper wire and other specialty industries. Copper wire from Lark copper rod can be drawn to British Standard 4109 C103 and American specifications B1, B2, B3, C10200. Advantages: high purity, providing optimum volume resistivity; excellent ductility and drawability, due to softness resulting from the high purity copper; excellent packaging and presentation for tangle free wire drawing; clean, bright surface that remains tarnish free for long periods due to the controlled `application of wax lubricant.
