Gujarat Metal Cast Industries (GMC), a leading foundry in lost foam process in India, produces ductile iron, malleable iron, cast iron and aluminium castings since 1978. The company has a global customer base that includes OEMs in the automotive sector, power transmission and insulator manufacturers, manufacturers of compressor, pumps and valves and material handling equipment. The range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials includes: 1. Aluminium alloy – aluminium silicon alloys, having silicon <13%, e.g., ASTM A319, A356, A357, C355, etc; 2. Ductile iron (SG iron) – ISO 1083 (EN 1563) all grades; 3. Grey cast iron – ISO R185 (EN 1561) all grades; and 4. Malleable cast iron – ISO 5922 (EN 1562) all blackheart ferritic and pearlitic grades. Casting range: weight – 50 kg max; dimensions – 700 x 700 x 500 mm max; and annual volume – quantity per product ranging from 10,000 to 5 million. Additional capabilities: heat treatment – non-ferrous – T6 operation (quenching and artificial aging); and ferrous – annealing, normalising with air quenching and tempering.
